Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program in Paterson, Hackensack & Prospect Park refunded over 1.5 million dollars to low income tax payers

2017 tax season at  United Way of Passaic County began with the addition of two new partners: Bergen Volunteer Center located in Hackensack and New Hope Community Ministries in Prospect Park.

The newly developed partnership is an effort to be more convenient for clients to be served by their own community and to reach more cleints with outreach by each organization. BVC and NH both advertised to their ongoing clients and then locally at supermarkets, community centers and libraries.

"Our client population was so ecstatic to be able to get a quality tax preparation service conveniently located just down the stairs from their regular food pantry pick up" -Felipe Cortes, New Hope
